EVENT CENTRE
The Event Centre is located next to the centre of Suomussalmi, in Jalonniemi (Jalonkaarre 5, 89600 Suomussalmi).
Services in the event centre:
- KOW Info (competition office, parking permits, bus tickets, KOW shop, etc...)
- KOW Info is located at the south end of the Jalonniemi building.

COMPETITION CENTRE (Säynäjä)
The competition centre is located about 15 kilometres southeast of Suomussalmi. Address: Kangasjärventie 78, Suomussalmi.
The competition centre offers restaurant and café services, orienteering and sports equipment vendors, a children’s play area (Muksula), a control rally (Rastiralli), a dog park, and showers. Showers are with warm water.
Club tents can be set up starting from Saturday, June 27th at 15:00.
Camping or staying overnight is prohibited in the areas of the competition centre, competition terrain, and event parking lots!

GUIDING
Access to the Competition Centre is via Highway 5 (E63) from the south, approximately 15 km before reaching Suomussalmi. Signage will be in place from Friday, 26 June 2026 at 15:00.
TRAFFIC AND PARKING
Parking areas are located very close to the Competition Arena, at a distance of approximately 200–600 metres. The parking areas are mostly hard-packed gravel pits.
Motorcycles, Mopeds, and Bicycles
There are no designated parking areas for motorcycles, mopeds, or bicycles. They can be left at the competition centre parking areas. No parking fee is required for motorcycles, mopeds, or bicycles.
Motorhomes and Caravans
Motorhomes are allowed to park in the Competition Centre parking areas.
NOTE! Caravans are not permitted in the parking areas near the competition centre. We recommend leaving caravans at your accommodation or in a public parking area.
Parking Tickets
To ensure smooth parking arrangements, we recommend purchasing tickets in advance from the online store or on-site at the KOW Info desk. On competition days, tickets can be purchased at the competition centre's KOW Info desk or the event centre KOW Info desk. Tickets can also be purchased upon exiting the parking area (card and cash payments accepted).
Parking tickets will be checked when exiting the parking areas.

P5 Suomussalmi/Event Centre (see shuttle bus ticket prices)
The paid event competition bus can be conveniently accessed at the designated bus stops.
From the competition bus terminal at Jalonniemi near the Suomussalmi, the driving time to the competition centre is 35–40 minutes.
P3-P4 - SPECTATORS (Competitors / Spectators)
- SPECTATOR weekly tickets on sale in advance in the online store and on site at the event. Day tickets on sale only on site at the event.
- General: €40 / week, €12 / day (passenger cars and vans)
- Motorhomes: €45 / week, €13 / day
- Location: Near the Competition Centre, 300–600 metres from the Centre
P2 - VIP/MEDIA
- VIP tickets available in advance only through the online store (NOTE! Limited availability).
- €65 / week (passenger cars and vans)
- Walking distance to the competition centre: 150–250 metres.
P1 - ACCESSIBLE
- Tickets available in advance with a disability parking permit: contact info@rastiviikko.fi.
- €40 / week, €12 / day (passenger cars and vans)
- Location: At the Competition Centre, 50 metres from the Centre
