KAINUU ORIENTEERING WEEK 2026
Dormitory, floor and camping accommodation are available for the Kainuu Orienteering Week.
To this page we will update possible accommodation places which are available for the 2026 Kainuu Orienteering Week.
DORMITORY ACCOMMODATION
Dormitory accommodation is available through Kainuu Orienteering Week accommodation.
Karhulanvaara dormitory accommodation
Furnished twin rooms equipped with beds, duvets and pillows, bedside tables, chairs, and wardrobes. Some rooms also include a desk.
Each dormitory unit (shared flat) has a common kitchen-living area with a refrigerator, freezer compartment, stove, microwave oven, and coffee maker. The unit also includes a shower, two toilets, and a drying room.
The common facilities are shared by four rooms. The kitchen has a limited supply of cooking and dining utensils, so guests are advised to bring their own if needed.
Each dormitory unit consists of four rooms.
The dormitory parking spaces are located 50-200 m from the dormitory buildings.
The Kainuu Orienteering Week competition bus stop is located 300 m from the dormitory buildings.
Locations: Ståhlberginkuja 1, 89800 Suomussalmi kk, is located in 7,7 km from Suomussalmi Ämmänsaari city centre and 2,9 km Suomussalmi village city centre.
Prices:
- 2 person room 25€/person/day
- 2 person room for one person 35€/person/day
It is possible to reserve a bed for one person in a double room for 25€/person/day. In this case, it is possible that another guest of the same gender stays in the same room.

Caravan and camping accommodation
Kainuu Orienteering Week 2026 camping and caravan accommodation (including campervans, caravan and tent places) in Ämmänsaari, Suomussalmi.
Kainuu Orienteering Week camping area accommodation
Through the Kainuu Orienteering Week accommodation service, camping area accommodation is available in Ämmänsaari, Suomussalmi. The area offers spaces for campervans, caravans, and tents near the Suomussalmi ice hall and sports hall.
Guests staying in campervans or caravans have access to shower and toilet facilities in either the ice hall or the sports hall.
Guests staying in tents have access to the sports hall’s shower and toilet facilities, as well as a kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, and electric kettle.
The Kainuu Orienteering Week competition bus stop is located approximately 400 meters from the camping area.

Prices:
- Campervan or caravan with electricity: 25 € / day
- Campervan or caravan without electricity: 20 € / vrk
- Tent place: 10 € / day
