The easiest way to arrive in Finland is by plane, but ferry connections also provide a convenient option. From airports or ports, you can rent a car if needed.

You can reach Kajaani by plane (from Helsinki), train, bus/coach, or car. From Kajaani, buses are available to Vuokatti and Sotkamo.

Once in Kainuu, you can make use of public transportation.

The competition bus offers a convenient way to travel between Sotkamo town centre, Katinkulta, the KOW Event Centre in Vuokatti, and the KOW25 competition centre during all four stages of the event.

If you plan to participate in the Kainuu Trail run on the day before Orienteering Week, Saturday, 28 June, you can conveniently take the Kainuu Trail event bus from Kajaani on the morning of the race at 05:45. This connection allows you to arrive in time for the 38 km (09:00), 21 km (10:00), and 10 km (10:30) starts. Stay tuned for updates from the Kainuu Trail event, as additional bus connections may be arranged during the spring.
