Registration for the 2025 Kainuu Orienteering Week is open
The 57th Kainuu Orienteering Week will be organized in Sotkamo at Vuokatti on June 29-July 4, 2025.
The competition center is located approximately 10 kilometers from Sotkamo and 6 kilometers south of Vuokatti.
In next summer's Kainuu Orienteering Week, we will return to the well-known challenging terrain of the 2013 World Championship middle distance qualification. The beautiful lake landscapes of Kainuu open up from the top of hill, and the terrain is very small and rocky. Lower on the slope of danger, you can orienteering in old spruce forest and on the wider slope of danger. In the area, you can enjoy the nature of the two nature reserves and challenge yourself as the passability varies in the forests used for forestry. The competition center is located in Ohravaara, where the height differences are more moderate than other terrain area and the shapes are flatter. In its surroundings there are more paths of different levels and other clear guiding targets than other competition terrain.

Registration for the orienteering week is now open
Registration for orienteering week competition categories and recreational orienteering (open courses) is now open.
- Registration for the competition categories is done through the IRMA-service.
- Registration for recreational orienteering (open courses) is done through the Navisport registration form.
