EVENT CENTRE

The exact location of the event centre will be announced in the autumn of 2024. The event centre will be located in the Vuokatti area.

Services in the event centre:

  • KOW info (competition office, parking tickets, bus tickets, etc., KOW shop)
  • Race bus stop

COMPETITION CENTRE (Heikkilä)

The competition centre is located about 10 kilometers south of Sotkamo and 6 kilometers south of Vuokatti. The address is Otrantie 7B, Sotkamo.

In the competition centre, you will find services such as restaurants and cafés, vendors selling orienteering and sports equipment, a kids’ area, a “rasteralli” race, a dog park, and a washing area. The washing area has showers and hot water. Setting up club tents is possible starting on Saturday, June 28th, from 15:00 onwards.

Camping or staying overnight is prohibited in the areas of the competition centre, competition terrain, and event parking lots!

GUIDING

Directions to the competition centre will be provided from Kainuuntie Road (76). The signs will be in place starting on Friday, June 27th, 2025, at 15:00.

TRAFFIC AND PARKING

Parking areas are located approximately 0.1–2.5 kilometres from the competition centre.

A nonstop shuttle bus service operates from the P4 parking area to the competition centre. The cost of the bus ride is included in the parking fee.

Motorcycles, Mopeds, and Bicycles
There are no designated parking areas for motorcycles, mopeds, or bicycles. They can be left at the competition centre parking areas. No parking fee is required for motorcycles, mopeds, or bicycles.

Motorhomes and Caravans
Motorhomes may only be parked at the P4 area near the competition centre. Other parking areas do not allow motorhomes.

NOTE! Caravans are not permitted in the parking areas near the competition centre. We recommend leaving caravans at your accommodation or in a public parking area.

Parking Tickets
To ensure smooth parking arrangements, we recommend purchasing tickets in advance from the online store or on-site at the KOW Info desk. On competition days, tickets can be purchased at the competition centre's KOW Info desk or the event centre KOW Info desk. Tickets can also be purchased upon exiting the parking area (card and cash payments accepted).

Parking tickets will be checked when exiting the parking areas.

Prices
P5 Sotkamo Town Centre or Event Centre Vuokatti Sport (see shuttle bus ticket prices)
The paid event competition bus can be conveniently accessed at the designated bus stops.
From the competition bus terminal at Sotkamo Church, the driving time to the competition centre is 35–40 minutes.

P4 - SPECTATORS (Competitors / Spectators)
- SPECTATOR weekly tickets on sale in advance in the online store and on site at the event. Day tickets on sale only on site at the event.
- General: €40 / week, €12 / day (passenger cars and vans)
- Motorhomes: €45 / week, €13 / day
- Location: Ohravaarantie 1, Sotkamo
- Includes nonstop shuttle bus service to the competition centre.

P3 - SPECTATORS (Competitors / Spectators)
- SPECTATOR weekly tickets on sale in advance in the online store and on site at the event. Day tickets on sale only on site at the event.
- General: €40 / week, €12 / day (passenger cars and vans)
- Location: Ohravaarantie 18, Sotkamo
- Walking distance to the competition centre: approx. 1–1.3 kilometres.

P2 - VIP/MEDIA (Heikkilä Pirtti)
- VIP tickets available in advance only through the online store (NOTE! Limited availability).
- €65 / week (passenger cars and vans)
- Walking distance to the competition centre: 50–200 metres.

P2 - FAMILY (Heikkilä Pirtti)
- FAMILY tickets available in advance only through the online store (NOTE! Limited availability).
- €40 / week (passenger cars and vans)
- Walking distance to the competition centre: 200–400 metres.
- FAMILY parking is exclusively for families with children. Access is granted only to vehicles carrying a child or children transported in a stroller.

P1 - ACCESSIBLE (Heikkilä Pirtti)
- Tickets available in advance with a disability parking permit: contact info@rastiviikko.fi.
- €40 / week, €12 / day (passenger cars and vans)
- Location: at the competition centre.

NOTE! Caravans are not permitted in the parking areas near the competition centre. We recommend leaving caravans at your accommodation or in a public parking area.
