Cancellations and changes

Kainuu Orienteering Week 30 June - 5 July 2024 – Terms of cancellations and changes

NOTICE! Please read these terms of cancellations and changes before registering. When a participant has registered for an event either through the IRMA-service, the Navisport-service or by e-mail, it is considered that the participant has accepted these terms of cancellation and changes of the event. 

 

1. Cancellations and changes

1.1. Participation fee = participation fee into the competition in that entry step when registration has been made by the participant + emit-card rental (for example 80 € + emit-card rental 15 € / week = 95 €)

1.2. If the participation is cancelled before 31st May (at the year of the event) the whole participation fee will be paid back. We will charge office fee of á 5 € / participation day, if the participation fee is over 30 €. If the participation fee is under 30 €, we will charge only one day office fee á 5 €.

1.3. If the participation is cancelled after 31st May (at the year of the event) we will pay back 50% of the participation fee in case of illness, injury or other relevant reason. Official doctor's statement is required. 

1.4. If the participation fee has been paid by (any) sport benefit we cannot pay back the participation fee in the case of cancellation due the Finnish Tax Administration's guidelines.

1.5. Change of the category is possible without any cost until 31st May (at the year of the event). After 31st May we will charge 10 € office cost if category is changed. In these cases we will use the participation fees of that entry period where the participant has entered to the event for the first time.

1.5.1. Other expenses concerning change of the category made by 31st May (at the year of the event):
- If the participant changes from more expensive category to cheaper category we cannot refund or pay pack the difference of the participation fees.
- If the participant changes from cheaper category to more expensive category we will charge the difference of the participation fees. 

All cancellations and changes must be informed into our office info@rastiviikko.fi.

 

2. Other expenses concerning changes of categories during the time 1st June - Friday before the 1st race day (stage) of the event

2.1. If the participant changes from more expensive category to cheaper category only an office fee of 10 € will be charged. Any remaining participation fee will not be refunded.

2.2. If the participant changes from cheaper category to more expensive category an office fee of 10 € and the difference between the participation fees will be charged.

2.3. In the competition categories the change of category is not possible after the day before the 1st race day (stage) of the event.

All changes must be informed into our office info@rastiviikko.fi.

 

3. Changes of the Emit card number

3.1. Competition categories
- Changes to the registered emit-card number is free of charge until the end date of the late-entry period.
- Participant can change the Emit card number directly in the IRMA-service or by e-mail info@rastiviikko.fi until the end date of the late-entry period. 
- After the ending date of the late-entry period the change of the Emit card number is possible ONLY by email into info@rastiviikko.fi

3.2. Open courses (recreational orienteering)
- Changes of the Emit card number must be informed to the office info@rastiviikko.fi until the ending date of the pre-registration period. After this date the changes must be made on-site at the event in the Open Courses info tent in the competition centre.
