Parking and Bus Tickets for Kainuu Orienteering Week 2024

For the Kainuu Orienteering Week from June 30th to July 5th, 2024, you can arrive either by event bus or by your own car. If you arrive by car, the parking options include the P1-Accessible and P2-VIP parking areas located next to the competition centre, as well as the P3-Spectators remote parking area located 7.5 km away from the competition centre at the Kainuu Horse Race Centre. There is a non-stop bus service from the P3-Spectators parking area to the competition centre.

- P3-SPECTATORS (competitors and spectators, Kainuu Horse Race Centre):
- Location: 7.5 km from the competition centre at the Kainuu Horse Race Centre
- There is a non-stop bus service from the parking area to the competition centre
- Tickets: available for purchase in advance online webshop and on-site at the event centre or at the competition centre KOW info desk
- P2-VIP/MEDIA (Joutenlampi)
- Location: 100 meters from the competition centre
- VIP parking spots are available for purchase for all event attendees
- NOTE! VIP parking area is only accessible to cars with a maximum height of 2 meters including accessories
- Tickets: Available for purchase only in advance online webshop! (limited quantity)
- P1-ACCESSIBLE (Joutenlampi):
- Location: Parking area is located at the competition centre
- Tickets: Available for purchase in advance with accessible parking permit via email at info@rastiviikko.fi

Competition Bus
You can conveniently travel by competition bus from the KOW dormitory accommodation (KAO, Oppi 4) through Kajaani city centre and the KOW event centre (Vesiliikuntakeskus Kaukavesi) to the Joutenlampi competition centre and back during each of the four competitions.
The bus journey time from the departure point to the competition centre with breaks is approximately 30 minutes. The return journey time from the competition centre is also approximately 30 minutes with breaks. The event bus stop is at the competition centre, with only a 50-meter walk to the heart of the competition centre.
Bus tickets are available for purchase in advance online and on-site at the KOW info desk in the event centre or at the competition centre, as well as on the bus (cash only).

- Child (under 15 years old): €10 / week, €2 / one-way trip

- P3-Spectators (competitors/spectators): €40 / week, €12 / day
- P3-Spectators (camper vans): €45 / week, €13 / day
- P2-VIP: €65 / week
